In Litchfield County, the so-called ‘Secret Corner’ of Connecticut we are lucky to have a geology and topography that have given us a high density of relatively cold water streams. This has lead to waters that are highly conducive to trout populations, but also imperiled by Climate Change and our area’s land use, utilities, industrial, and residential history.

We are currently hashing out and focusing on a few projects. They are wholly focused on the Housatonic Watershed where we hope to protect important breeding grounds and thermal refuges, in addition to restoring natural flow regimes.

Clean-ups and work trips will be posted to: News and Events, Our Facebook, and emailed out to our lists.

We welcome and encourage all volunteers, particularly families and students!
