The Northwestern Connecticut Chapter of Trout Unlimited was founded in 1963, shortly after TU was founded in 1959. Many of our members have been in the chapter for more than ten years, some more than twenty. We’re not only a Fly-Fishing club, we’re an ALL-Fishing Club. No matter if you’re a bait caster, lure caster, fish on Fresh or Saltwater, use a boat, waders, personal watercraft or dock, or sit on the ice; we do it all! Our chapter is involved with the community, both in conservation activities and educational activities.

Personal Membership Levels (1st year)
- Military (Veteran or Active Duty) (1st Year Free) Use the By Mail option below & send a redacted DD Form 214 (block out your SSN) to our PO Box.
- First Responder (Police, Fire, EMT) (1st Year Free) Use the By Mail option below & send a copy of your official ID to our PO Box.
- Teen Membership (Ages 13-18, $14.00) (as low as $8 in groups of six or more members; such as scouts, clubs, and classrooms) Send name, address, email address, and school info. Download the sign-up spreadsheet below.
- Regular Member $35 per year. 1st-year trial membership is only $17.50 – use the by-mail option below. Note: If you’re signing up for our Beginners Fly-Fishing Classes, you may skip this – membership to TU is included in the Class Fee.
